HOW IT WORKS:
Hydrogen fuel cells work by combining hydrogen and oxygen atoms to produce electric power.The hydrogen reacts with oxygen across an electrochemical cell similar to that of a battery to produce electricity, water, and small amounts of heat: all of which work to power the vehicle without the traditional lithium-ion battery.
Why Hydrogen?
It's easy to see why hydrogen fuel cells are better for the environment than gas or diesel cars - but why should you choose this over electric? Simply put, hydrogen is significantly more energy dense than batteries, which means a fuel-cell pushed powertrain will weigh less.
